Amy Parkerson-Mitchell, a veteran run coach and Doctor of
Physical Therapy, has made a career of working with runners to
prevent injury and improve their speed and strength. Running is
so often a neglected leg in triathlon ( we all know how to run,
right? ), but it demands the most from our bodies and has the
highest risk for injury. Learning ways to improve your efficiency,
form, speed and strength can go a long way towards making
your season a success.

Ever wondered what all the fuss around Power Meters is about? OR do you have a power meter
and you're spinning in circles trying to figure out how to use it? We'll be covering the basics
of "what is a power meter" and "what does do the numbers mean" during this clinic.
KC Triathlon Pre-Race Beginner Clinic
Longview Lake, Sunday April 30, 2017, 8:30 - 11 AM / $25
This is for athletes who are relatively new to triathlon or duathlon and would benefit from an
overview and practice for race day. We'll talk through race weekend including everything from packet
pick up to parking to the swim start. Additionally we'll set up transition areas and run through those
more than a few times....we may not all run 6 min miles but we can bust it in transition! Having a race
plan - and practicing that plan - makes race morning much more streamline, calm and at lot more fun!.
This will be a casual clinic intended to answer questions and provide a practice run through for race day -
please note: we will not be swimming in the lake at this clinic.
