This really helped me understand how our nervous system is imprinted w/ it's patterns at a very young age from things we don't necessarily remember - but that we can also change that.  (it's hard work but possible which is hopeful)

Enneagram - I did hire Danni - that Enneagram coach which was helpful to me > Deep Waters Enneagram  [email protected]

The biggest thing I took from this is looking not just at what our behaviors are but what is DRIVING our behavior.....apparently I want to live in a bunker w/ 2000 cans of tuna and a lightsabor

Adult Child Podcast - AMAZING.  She is our people - refers to herself and her followers as the shit shows lol.  Adult Child is a term first introduced in the 1980s around Adult Children of Alcoholics - she broadens the terms to really include a range of adults who grew up w/ wackado parenting but I personally think this podcast is applicable to many humans regardless. She interviews different kinds of therapists and it's incredibly helpful.  Some really amazing people.

Here are a few of my favs:
Patrick Teahan - https://www.patrickteahantherapy.com (his site and youtube stuff is awesome too)
Adam Murauskas - https://fixyourpicker.com/my-story/

Kristen Carder - trauma and ADHD

The Hubberman Lab is another podcast which has some really interesting science podcasts (done in an accessible way) aroudn the brain and trauma, anxiety, mindfulness - you name it, he's prob got it.  They are long casts but I love them if the brain part of stuff interests you.

BOOKS:
Complex PTSD from Surviving to Thriving by Peter Walker (this is a big one - I am halfway through listening to it - I bought the soft cover but it looks overwhelming lol)

Brene Brown - Atlas of the Heart (names many emotions which is helpful)

Mindful Self Compassion Class with Kristen Neff and Chris Germer

Fierce Self Compassion - book by Kristen Neff

Trauma the invisible epidemic by paul conti.  The huberman lab interviews him and it's a great podcast too.

Everything isn't Terrible by Kathleen Smith - she has a newsletter that is worth subscribing too as well

omg!  how did I forget this one - How to do the Work.....honestly, this might be the one to start with - this and the everything isn't terrible book ....she's fantastic (might look her on instagram too)...those were 2 of the first ones I read that hit home for me?  doesn't mean they will for you - but it's hard to know where to start b/c it's like you don't even have the language to konw what you're looking for.......
and The Science of Stuck by Britt Frank
